Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Manager – Food Safety to lead and manage all quality assurance and food safety programs. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing customer complaints, leading audits, and maintaining the HACCP plan to ensure product safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Lead internal investigations for non-conformances and food safety incidents
- Develop, implement, and monitor CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) programs
- Plan and conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Serve as the primary contact for external audits (FDA, third-party, and customer audits)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF/BRC)
- Oversee document control systems, including SOPs, policies, and records
- Develop, implement, and maintain the HACCP plan, including hazard analysis and CCP monitoring
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance food safety and product quality
- Train and mentor staff on food safety procedures and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (preferred)
- 5 years of experience in food safety/quality assurance, with leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and regulatory standards
- Experience managing audits and regulatory inspections
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- HACCP Certification
- Experience with SQF, BRC, or other GFSI standards
- Knowledge of FDA regulations
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
