Position Summary
Snack Hive is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Field Manager to oversee daily field operations, technician performance, route execution, inventory accountability, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for ensuring vending machines are serviced on schedule, inventory is accurately tracked, technicians follow company procedures, and all customer locations receive exceptional service.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage multiple priorities, hold team members accountable, solve operational issues quickly, and maintain accurate records across routes, inventory, and machine performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Management
- Supervise, coach, and develop vending technicians and route personnel.
- Conduct regular ride-alongs and field audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, corrective action, and recognition as appropriate.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new technicians.
- Create and manage technician schedules and route assignments.
- Ensure all team members maintain professional conduct and appearance.
Route Operations
- Ensure all routes are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Monitor route performance, service levels, and machine uptime.
- Investigate and resolve missed stops, customer complaints, and service issues.
- Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Verify machine servicing activities are properly documented.
- Maintain route coverage during employee absences and emergencies.
Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory accuracy across warehouse, vehicles, and vending machines.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, shrinkage, and product loss.
- Ensure technicians accurately record product movement and machine replenishment.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment orders.
- Work closely with purchasing and warehouse personnel to maintain adequate stock levels.
Customer Service & Account Management
- Conduct periodic site visits with customers.
- Resolve customer concerns regarding product availability, machine performance, cleanliness, or service quality.
- Ensure machines are stocked according to location-specific product plans.
- Maintain positive relationships with facility managers and decision-makers.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality and customer retention.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of route completion, inventory transactions, vehicle inspections, and technician performance.
- Generate and review operational reports and KPIs.
- Track route profitability and machine performance metrics.
- Submit weekly and monthly operational updates to leadership.

QualificationsRequired
- 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

- Ability to analyze operational reports and performance metrics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and mobile applications.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
Preferred
- Experience in vending, food service, logistics, route operations, retail operations, or distribution.
- Experience with vending management software and route management systems.
