Snowflake Developer

Job Description:

Overview:
Looking for a skilled Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data warehousing solutions using Snowflake. The ideal candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions
• Build and optimize data models, schemas, and tables for analytics and reporting
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake SQL and cloud-native tools
• Optimize query performance, cost, and resource utilization
• Implement data security, access controls, masking, and governance policies
• Integrate Snowflake with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting
• Support deployments, monitoring, and production issues
• Document architecture, processes, and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in data warehousing or data engineering
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (SQL, virtual warehouses, stages, streams, tasks)
• Strong SQL skills (advanced queries, performance tuning)
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Airflow, etc.)
• Understanding of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• SnowPro Certification (Core or Advanced)
• Experience with dbt and modern analytics engineering practices
• Knowledge of Python or Java for data processing
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
• Experience in data governance, data quality, and metadata management

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Salary : $50 - $60
