Job Summary:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience in the Energy/Utility domain to support and enhance critical systems such as smart grid, SCADA, OMS, and ADMS platforms. The candidate will focus on automating deployments, improving system reliability, and enabling continuous delivery for mission-critical utility applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for utility applications and energy platforms
- Deploy and maintain cloud/on-prem infrastructure for systems like SCADA, ADMS, OMS
- Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Support real-time data systems and grid management applications
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and reliability of utility platforms
- Collaborate with development, operations, and field teams
- Implement containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Ensure security, compliance, and regulatory standards in energy systems
- Handle incident management and production support for critical utility services
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
- Scripting: Python, Bash, Shell
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, ARM Templates
- Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
- Strong Linux/Unix administration
Domain-Specific Experience (Energy/Utility):
- Experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)
- Knowledge of ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System)
- Experience with OMS (Outage Management System)
- Understanding of smart grid technologies and real-time data systems
- Familiarity with utility protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus)
- Experience working with energy distribution or power systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering
- Experience in utility companies or energy sector projects
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices
- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) preferred
