Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facility maintenance. The position "floats" between several properties, both commercial and residential, in the greater Cleveland area and requires a person who is able to work well independently and with minimal supervision. Part-time candidates will focus on exterior maintenance and groundskeeping.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and the building envelope.
- Conduct inspections to identify repair and maintenance needs.
- Manage turns of vacant units including both residential apartments and commercial suites.
- Utilize Yardi software to track work orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and effectively.
- Work with third party vendors as needed to complete repairs or maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with all company policies and with the scope of work for which they were hired.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in facilities maintenance -- Commercial, Residential, or both.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members and tenants.
- Familiarity with Yardi maintenance software is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Licenses and/or certificates of completion of training in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, are a plus.
Prospective candidates must be able to pass a background check and have a valid Ohio driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a reliable vehicle. Must possess own tools and be able to perform the physical requirements of a maintenance position including lifting, standing, and climbing ladders.
