Order Picker/Packer (Warehouse Associate)

We are an ecommerce brand that sells consumer good products directly to customers from our warehouse in Simi Valley. We are looking for someone who is detailed-oriented to primarily print out orders, pack orders, and help maintain the warehouse.

Note: This is a part-time position. Shifts generally begin at 9:00 AM, everyday Monday - Friday and generally last up to 3 hours per day. Additional hours may be available based on business needs and order volume.

Duties

How a typical day looks like: You will generally start your day at the computer briefly to print out labels and take care of any order errors (we will train you on this). Then you will go into the warehouse and pack the orders. Then, you will then take care of any returns, refunds, exchanges, and wholesale orders. You will tidy up the warehouse and the office space. Occasionally assist with moving and rearranging pallets, boxes, taking inventory, and receiving or shipping out goods:

• Print out order labels out from our computer system
• Verify order accuracy by cross-checking items against packing lists before shipment
• Pack items securely using appropriate packing materials
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse workspace to promote safety and efficiency
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed
• Help with moving, assembling, receiving, or unloading boxes and pallets of goods or inventory
• Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times
• Basic maintenance and cleaning of warehouse and office spaces
• Check emails and orders to make sure there are no errors that need to be fixed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift
• Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling of materials
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
• May require use of ladders or step stools, as applicable
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as required to access inventory
• Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent, repetitive movement

Experience

• Previous experience in order picking, packing, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Basic computer skills
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Basic familiarity with warehouse equipment such as hand trucks or pallet jacks is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
