Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator (Advanced) to support enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and mission-critical systems. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud platforms, servers, and network systems while ensuring security, performance, and scalability.
The ideal candidate will work on moderately to highly complex systems, take ownership of technical issues, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and enhance IT infrastructure and cloud environments
- Administer and manage servers across multiple environments
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues
- Coordinate server configurations with internal and external teams
- Recommend and implement system upgrades and improvements
- Manage identity and access controls, including user provisioning
- Oversee and maintain Microsoft 365 and related platforms
- Design and implement network configurations, policies, and security controls
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Create and manage DevOps pipelines, repositories, and project configurations
- Support cloud platforms including AWS and Azure
- Collaborate with developers and other IT teams
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Required Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in information systems engineering or related field
- 3-5 years in infrastructure, systems operations, and network environments
- 2-3 years experience with Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022)
- 2-3 years IIS administration
- 2-3 years networking experience (TCP/IP, DNS, file sharing, NTFS permissions)
- 2-3 years hands-on experience with AWS (required)
Preferred Experience
- Microsoft Azure cloud experience
- Experience with other cloud providers (e.g., GCP)
- Microsoft enterprise systems administration
- Middleware technologies (API management, automation tools, batch processing)
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of AWS services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services
- Expertise in Microsoft Server environments
- Strong Linux administration skills (RedHat, Ubuntu)
- Understanding of cloud and network architectures
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and infrastructure best practices
