Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Security Administrator to provide specialized network and cybersecurity administration support for state agencies. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, compliant, and modern network infrastructures while addressing operational challenges, managing hardware lifecycle initiatives, and executing critical security-related requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and fulfill daily operational requests, including Firewall Service Requests (FSRs), incident resolution, break-fix activities, and formal change management tasks.
- Support infrastructure modernization efforts by coordinating the replacement and decommissioning of End-of-Life (EOL) network and security hardware.
- Implement and maintain security controls, configurations, and best practices to ensure compliance with IRS, FBI, and Criminal Justice Information (CJI) security requirements.
- Configure, administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewall environments.
- Assist with network security operations, policy enforcement, and ongoing infrastructure optimization.
- Collaborate with internal teams and agency stakeholders to support secure and reliable network services.
