Supply Chain Manager

SMV is looking for a hands-on Supply Chain Manager for a growing, mid-sized manufacturer in West Hartford. This person will take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain operation and play a key role in a major SAP S/4HANA rollout. This is a high-impact, ground-floor opportunity for someone who wants to be seen, make decisions, and grow into a broader leadership role.

What You'll Own

• Lead and oversee material movement, production planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics

• Drive the SAP S/4HANA implementation — advising on workflow processes and establishing SOPs

• Manage inventory performance and ensure accurate forecasting for inbound/outbound inventory

• Own compliance on the materials side and collaborate with on-site suppliers on rate cards

• Lead by influence across a mixed team of salaried and hourly employees — formal direct reports likely to follow as the role evolves

What They're Looking For

• SAP S/4HANA experience is required

• 10 years in manufacturing — this is non-negotiable

• 5–10 years of supply chain experience spanning production planning, procurement, inventory, and/or logistics

• Background in electronics, lighting, electrical components, or similar mid-sized manufacturing strongly preferred

• Lean or Six Sigma certification (or demonstrated CI mindset) strongly preferred

• Data-driven decision maker who benchmarks, builds process, and brings people along with them

• Some people leadership experience; comfortable leading without a title

• BS degree in a related field
