As a Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for providing expertise and leadership to the service and maintenance staff while ensuring the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of Smurfit Westrock’s plant assets. Your role will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement of plant operations to enable efficient, high-quality production of customer products.
How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock
- Foster and maintain a maintenance culture focused on efficient service and strong support.
- Oversee scheduling and assignment of work to ensure timely completion of equipment repairs.
- Lead and drive maintenance improvement initiatives and programs throughout the plant.
- Update and implement maintenance procedures and management systems (e.g., CMMS) as necessary to ensure adherence to core maintenance standards and best practices.
- Lead equipment troubleshooting efforts and utilize Root Cause Analysis to investigate and resolve equipment failures.
- Supervise and manage maintenance department personnel.
- Perform all duties in accordance with safety policies, including proper use of required PPE.
- Support departmental compliance with 5S and SQF standards and promptly report any food safety concerns to management.
- 2- year technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance with supervisory experience of maintenance technicians
- Adept at problem-solving and identifying root cause to implement preventative methods
- Ability to plan and manage a budget
- Ability to work within a 24/7 plant operations facility
- Be a strategic thinker with the confidence to make decisions which impact safety, uptime and productivity
- Ability to coach and develop talent to create a highly productive, safety-conscious team
