Department: Cutting
Summary
Responsible for working alongside the operator to learn all aspects of the cutting operator position to include but, no limited to leadership, troubleshooting and technical skills. Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management. Follow all Smurfit Westrock Core Values and Behaviors. Additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

Expectations/Guidelines
- Operate cutting machines while maintaining production numbers and quality
- Determine priorities
- Pre-make ready as required
- Make-ready as required
- Perform general maintenance of the cutting presses
- Perform daily operation of the cutting department by staging loads to be cut
- Enter production in computer
- Check one carton per die position for correct cut and register
- Support plant initiatives and directives.
- Written/Verbal Communications Skills: Must follow detailed instructions for training and quality.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of Cartons: Perform quality checks on cartons being processed.
- Essential/Marginal Functions and Physical Requirements
- Essential: Load and unload skids, walking up and down stairs. Use air hose daily. Sweep and clean press area daily.
- Marginal: Drive a tow motor (certification required). Sweep press daily, take out trash, and sweep under cassette.
- Testing and Measuring Ability (General Math): Ability to use and read basic measurement devices, (calculator, tape measure, and ruler.) Learn to operate score bend. Lift truck certification and pallet jack operation. General mechanical aptitude. Pass Farnsworth Munsel-100 Hue Test.
