We are seeking a Boiler Operator to join our team! You will oversee boiler operation and maintenance, electrical work, and facility upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and control multiple boilers across different types of fuels.
- Preventative maintenance of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, and support equipment.
- Pump maintenance as well as piping and valve needs.
- Daily checks and logs during the shift to ensure optimum operation including water testing and chemical additions.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the scope of operation.
- Electrical work as needed- 24 volt DC control voltage up to 480 volt 3 phase AC to include switches and VFDs
- Facility upkeep and improvements.
- Ability to learn and train others on the plant system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years plant boiler/ powerhouse operation.
- Basic skills in welding, pipefitting, electrical maintenance, and power tools.
- Ability to work around process chemicals.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Understanding of powerhouse equipment and continual improvement process.
