Responsibilities:
- Perform installation and alteration of refrigeration systems and related equipment/facilities
- Familiar with start-up and shut-down processes in production plants
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical components with the meter when equipment is down
- Performs PMs, maintains all assigned equipment and systems, and ensures all systems are performing in a safe and functional manner at all times
- Repairs and maintains all assigned systems/equipment throughout the plant and making sure they operate according to the required standards
- Maintains and performs preventative maintenance activities and conducts repairs on all assigned systems/equipment
Requirements
- Ammonia refrigeration experience or refrigeration experience
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with air compressors and associated control systems
- Good communication skills to ensure timely repairs of equipment and issues that arise
- 3 years of experience as a Refrigeration Technician in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of EPA regulations
- Knowledge of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and compressors
- Ammonia refrigeration troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to work in a wide variety of temperatures
- Will be required to work weekends as needed to meet customer needs
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Travel required
