Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our Radiation Oncology team. This role assists physicians and clinical staff in delivering high-quality cancer care while ensuring accurate documentation and efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document medical history, symptoms, and treatment side effects
- Record vital signs and update EMR accurately
- Assist physicians during examinations and weekly on-treatment visits
- Perform medical scribing during patient encounters
- Prepare and clean exam rooms; maintain infection control standards
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups
Qualifications
- Certification or degree in Medical Assisting
- 1 year of medical office experience (oncology preferred)
- Medical scribing experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
