What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Professional position at SMS Power Train and Hardware?
SMS Powertrain and Hardware is a Roadside mower parts supplier for DOTs (Departments of Transportation) and Independent mowing contractors all over the US. Our office is located in Mexico, MO and is the headquarters and warehouse for our mower parts stock. We’re looking for an energetic, results-driven inside sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems, and closing sales over the phone and in person.
Inside Sales Duties:
- Gain new customers by calling and visiting in person to DOTs and Independent Mowing Contractors around the US
- Call current customers to see if they want to make stock orders, bulk pricing orders.
- Receive and write orders from customers over the phone providing pricing, product and delivery information
- Field phone and in-person inquiries providing pricing/quotes
- Find new and unique ways to gain new customers
- Work with the marketing team to increase sales
- Some travel required
This person should have the following qualities:
- Be an energetic, results-driven inside sales professional who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems, and closing sales over the phone and in person.
- Comfortability talking with contractors and DOT personnel
- Computer skills (order entry, email, CRM)
- a work history showing their capability to find and earn new customers, ability to travel if necessary, and a proven track record of hard work and dedication to the team
- Preferred experience in industrial, agriculture or equipment parts sales
M-F, Full time, in person
BASE, PLUS % commission on new customers sales
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
