Sports Card Specialist
About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on Sports Card Specialist to join our team in Amityville. This is a role for a true "card person"—someone who has a deep knowledge of the hobby and a rigorous attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conditioning & Sorting: Accurately identify and sort cards by year, set, and category. Use your expertise to assess the condition of raw cards to determine if they are candidates for third-party grading (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC).
Protection & Prep: Handle high-value inventory with absolute care, ensuring proper sleeving, top-loading, and preparation for marketplace listing.
Cataloging: Enter specific details (player, team, card number, condition, etc.) into our database to ensure that every listing is 100% accurate before it goes live.
Inventory Flow: Keep our open warehouse organized by moving processed products to the correct photography stations or storage locations.
Quality Control: Double-check that photos match the physical items and that descriptions meet our quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Deep Product Knowledge of sports cards or memorabilia.
- Market Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a buying or selling capacity (preferred).
- Reliability: High School Diploma (required) and reliable transportation to our Amityville location.
- Focus: Must be comfortable and productive working in an active, open warehouse environment.
Compensation:
$18-$22 per hour, depending on your level of experience and hobby knowledge.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
