Smooth Sticks Mobile Phlebotomy Services LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Phlebotomist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for traveling to multiple nursing home in the Martinsville area. Going to facilities to perform blood draws, collect specimens, and ensure safe and accurate specimen handling. This role is perfect for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoys working independently while providing exceptional patient care.
Travel to assigned nursing home facilities on a daily route to perform phlebotomy services. Perform venipunctures, and other specimen collections with accuracy and care. Properly label, handle, and process specimens according to established protocols. Maintain accurate records of all collections, patient information, and specimen logs. Ensure all samples are stored and transported according to safety and compliance standards. Demonstrate excellent bedside manner and provide compassionate care to elderly patients. Maintain cleanliness of phlebotomy equipment and supplies. Follow infection control, HIPAA, and OSHA guidelines at all times. Communicate effectively with facility staff and the Smooth Sticks Mobile Phlebotomy Services LLC team
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification preferred (CPT, PBT, etc.). Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred; experience in geriatric care settings is a plus. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements: Comfortable with extended periods of standing, walking, and traveling between facilities
