Summary
As a Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapist at Smooth Generation, you will be responsible for delivering personalized, high-quality lymphatic drainage massages to help clients detoxify, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and promote overall wellness. The ideal candidate will be passionate about holistic health and have experience in performing gentle yet effective manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) techniques.
Responsibilities
- Lymphatic Drainage Treatments: Perform personalized lymphatic drainage massages tailored to each client’s needs, focusing on enhancing the body’s natural detoxification process, reducing swelling, and improving circulation.
- Client Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their health needs, discuss their treatment goals, and assess contraindications or sensitivities.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Safety Standards: Ensure all workspaces, equipment, and tools are kept clean, sanitized, and organized according to spa protocols and health regulations.
- Provide Client Education: Offer clients guidance on post-treatment care, including recommended hydration levels, nutrition, and aftercare to maximize the benefits of lymphatic drainage.
- Promote Spa Services: Share information about other spa treatments and services that may complement lymphatic drainage, fostering client engagement and return visits.
- Build Client Relationships: Cultivate lasting relationships with clients through excellent service, empathetic communication, and attention to detail, encouraging repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications:
- Certification and Experience:
- Must have a valid massage therapy license in NYS.
- Certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is required.
- Previous experience in performing lymphatic drainage massages in a spa, clinical, or wellness setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology: Strong understanding of the lymphatic system, human anatomy, and the physiological effects of massage therapies.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to establish rapport with clients, listen to their needs, and explain treatments effectively in a clear and professional manner.
- Professional and Compassionate Demeanor: Demonstrates a caring, patient, and professional attitude toward clients at all times.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform long hours of hands-on work while maintaining a high level of energy and focus.
- Team-Oriented: Willingness to collaborate with other therapists and spa staff to provide a seamless and exceptional client experience.
Pay: $200.00 - $600.00 per day
