Responsibilities
- Groom dogs and/or cats of various breeds, including bathing, brushing, haircutting, nail trims, and finishing work
- Work with pet owners to understand their preferences and any special needs
- Keep pets safe, comfortable, and as stress-free as possible during grooming
- Recognize and communicate any skin, coat, or health concerns noticed during appointments
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized grooming environment
- Keep basic grooming records regarding the pet's grooming history, health or/and behavior
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and build lasting client relationships
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and handle pets of various sizes.
Stamina and physical fitness for extended periods of standing and grooming.
Working Conditions: The work environment includes a grooming salon equipped with grooming tables, tubs, and various grooming tools. The role may involve exposure to pet dander and cleaning chemicals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience as a pet groomer with a strong portfolio of pervious work
- Certification from a recognized grooming school or equivalent training is a plus
- Comfortable with a variety of dog breeds, coat types, and temperaments
- Patient, gentle, and confident handling animals
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Good communication skills with both pets and people
- Ability to stand for long periods and safely handle dogs of all sizes
