Role Description The Tax Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Sunrise, Florida. This role oversees preparting and reviewing complex tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, and high-net worth individuals, ensuring financial accuracy. The candidate can identify and assist with tax planning opportunities, provide consulting services to clients, and participate in client management. Conduct tax research and draft memoranda on technical issues. Manage multiple client engagements independently and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. Communicate with clients and tax authorities regarding tax matters and controversies. Collaborate with audit and advisory teams for integrated client service. Supervise, mentor, and train staff and seniors. Participate in firm enhancement, marketing efforts, and various projects and initiatives beyond core responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should 4-7 years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance and planning.
- Candidates should possess skills in Tax Preparation for various types of entities.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Tax Law and its practical application.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active candidacy preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance; Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in tax software (CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx) and Microsoft Office.
