LOCATION: Headquartered in White Pine, TN
JOB TYPE: Full-Time (Seasonally – Spring)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Category 1 Pesticide License
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
- Confidence and competence peaking with customers, resolving problems, and setting own schedule
- A desire to provide excellent customer service is required
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate and maintain all equipment and vehicles (sprayers, spreaders, trucks, etc.)
- Mixing, loading and application of pesticides/fertilizers
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers at applicable rates to the appropriate fields
- Perform daily vehicle inspections
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Maintain application/spray records
- Organize and coordinate application timetable with customers
- Knowledgeable with seed, chemical and fertilizer to make informed decisions
- Recertify spraying technician license and safety training every two years
- Work safely and abide by local and state safety regulations
- Providing outstanding customer service to the customers and farmer members of Smoky Mountain Farmers Co-op
