Food Plater
Position Summary
Smoky Mt. BBQ is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Plater to prepare and arrange food orders for drive thru and takeout, . The Plater ensures every plate is accurate, attractive, properly portioned, and ready to serve promptly.
Responsibilities
- Plate barbecue meats, sides, sauces, and garnishes according to restaurant standards.
- Check each order for accuracy, presentation, temperature, and portion size.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to complete orders efficiently.
- Package takeout and delivery orders securely and accurately.
- Keep the plating station clean, stocked, and organized.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling procedures.
- Refill sauces, garnishes, containers, and other station supplies.
- Communicate missing items, delays, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Assist with basic food preparation and cleaning as needed.
Qualifications
- Restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and special-order instructions.
- Dependable, punctual, and available for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
