Sales Associate – Firearms & Tactical Retail
Smoking Guns Armory is seeking a motivated and professional Sales Associate to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with firearms knowledge, strong customer service skills, and a passion for the Second Amendment industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service in a retail firearms environment
- Assist customers with product selection including firearms, accessories, optics, and gear
- Conduct firearm sales in compliance with all ATF, state, and local laws
- Complete and process required paperwork accurately (4473, background checks, transfers)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales floor
- Receive, stock, and merchandise inventory
- Support daily store operations and team objectives
Requirements:
- Firearms knowledge and retail sales experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow compliance procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in a firearms retail environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a gun store, range, or tactical retail setting
- Familiarity with ATF regulations and Form 4473
- Law enforcement, military, or first-responder background is a plus
