Smoking Goose’s Local Sales Representative grows sales of our 40 varieties of charcuterie with central Indiana wholesale accounts including restaurants, grocery stores, specialty markets, and more.The ideal candidate thrives in the food world, enjoys building relationships, and has excellent communication skills to tell Smoking Goose’s story of quality, craft, and flavor.The Local Sales Rep will:Initiate new and grow existing relationships with chefs, cheesemongers, grocers, and specialty food buyers: this means prospecting new wholesale accounts and expanding current oneslead tasting events, demonstrations, and staff training to showcase Smoking Goose’s full line of charcuteriePartner with retail managers of groceries, delis, and more on merchandising and product placementRepresent Smoking Goose at industry food shows, public markets, and community eventsThe ideal candidate hasSales experience in food, beverage, or specialty retail products (a restaurant or grocery focus is preferred) AND/OR professional culinary experienceStrong communication skills and a passion for great foodExamples of how their professional history shows that they are self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in the fieldValid driver’s license and reliable transportationCompensation includesAnnual base salary commission in the range of $50-70kHealth, dental, and vision insuranceMatching 401KPaid time offMileage reimbursementEmployee discount, staff meals, and morethe opportunity to represent an established and growing brand in the local culinary communityHow to applyIf you love connecting with culinary professionals and want to help share world-class charcuterie with your community, we’re eager to hear from you!
