Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers as they enter the store.
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers based on their preferences and needs.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking shelves and displays.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding product availability, usage, and pricing.
- Stay informed about new products, promotions, and industry trends.
- Uphold store policies and procedures, including age verification for tobacco sales.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws regarding the sale of tobacco and smoking-related products.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store objectives.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including receiving shipments and conducting stock counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a smoke shop or similar environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of tobacco and smoking-related products is desirable.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
- Familiarity with POS systems and other retail software is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age for tobacco sales in your jurisdiction).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
