Tirana Empire Smoke Shop is looking for an experienced Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a smoke shop or similar retail environment and strong knowledge of smoke shop products. This role focuses on customer service, sales, and daily store operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
- Assist customers with product selection and answer questions
- Operate the POS system and handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Verify customer ID and follow all age-restricted sales laws
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain inventory displays
- Keep the store clean, organized, and presentable at all times
- Stay informed about new products and promotions
- Follow store policies and procedures
Requirements
- Previous smoke shop or retail sales experience required
- Strong knowledge of smoke shop products (vapes, glass, accessories, tobacco-related items)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Must meet legal age requirements for employment in a smoke shop
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POS systems
- Sales-driven attitude and upselling skills
- Familiarity with New York State ID and age-verification laws
