Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with the latest inventory
- Manage stock levels through regular stocking, inventory checks, and merchandising adjustments
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in retail or grocery store environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings or training new staff
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and clearly communicate product features
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone
- Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities without pressuring customers
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math for accurate inventory management and sales tracking
