Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Demonstrate product features and benefits through engaging product demos to encourage upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with current inventory
- Assist with inventory management by stocking shelves, organizing products, and conducting regular stock checks
- Uphold store cleanliness and organization, adhering to safety and compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with customers using strong phone etiquette and bilingual skills when necessary to serve a diverse clientele
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a grocery or specialty store environment
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math to accurately process transactions
- Strong communication skills
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
