Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to keep the store organized, appealing, and well-stocked
- Engage customers in retail sales by offering product recommendations and promoting special deals or promotions
- Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with inventory counts
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience with proficiency in POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities preferred to serve diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities in a retail environment is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts accurately
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail sales experience is advantageous
- Willingness to perform product demos, upselling, merchandising, stocking, and other store duties as needed
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
