At Smoak & Spirits, we believe cooking is a craft. We smoke our meats over hardwood, make as much as possible from scratch, and take pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen. Our menu blends traditional barbecue with Italian comfort food, handmade specialties, seasonal ingredients, and flavors from around the world.
We're looking for an experienced Line Cook who wants more than just another restaurant job. We're building a kitchen where quality, teamwork, and professionalism come first.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and execute menu items with consistency and attention to detail.
- Work multiple stations including grill, sauté, fry, pantry, smoker, or expo.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
- Follow recipes and plating standards while maintaining speed during service.
- Assist with daily prep and production.
- Help receive and properly store deliveries.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Support fellow cooks and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has at least 2 years of professional line cooking experience.
- Can handle a fast-paced service without sacrificing quality.
- Takes pride in organization and cleanliness.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Shows up on time, prepared, and ready to work.
- Wants to learn and continually improve their craft.
- Treats coworkers with professionalism and respect.
Experience with barbecue, smoking, grilling, pasta, or scratch cooking is a plus—but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn matter even more.
