Registered Nurse – Psychiatric
Location: Wyandotte, MI
Contract Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Shift Details
- Shift: Night Shift
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Schedule: 3×12 hrs/week (36 hrs/week)
Pay & Stipends
- Pay Rate: $20.66/hr
- Bill Rate: $75.41/hr
- Weekly Stipends: $1,232/week
- Total Estimated Weekly Compensation: $1,975.76
Job Overview:
The Psychiatric RN delivers safe, compassionate mental health nursing care within an inpatient behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care while ensuring effective communication with the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete psychiatric assessments and monitor patient status
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide therapeutic communication and crisis intervention
- Safely administer medications and monitor effects
- Collaborate with healthcare team to meet patient goals
- Document care, assessments, and changes promptly
- Ensure safety protocols and de-escalation techniques
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans
Requirements:
Required:
- MI RN License
- BLS
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Clinical knowledge of psychiatric nursing
- Strong communication & critical-thinking skills
Pay: $1,800.00 - $1,975.76 per week
