Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Job Lead to take ownership of moving jobs from start to finish. This is a leadership role for someone who can confidently manage crews, operate a moving truck, communicate with customers, and ensure every job is completed efficiently and professionally.
This position is ideal for someone looking to grow into higher-level operations, including estimating, scheduling, and field management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise moving crews on residential and commercial jobs
- Safely operate a 16–26 ft box truck (training can be provided for the right applicant)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on-site
- Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards
- Collect payments and handle basic paperwork/job documentation
- Maintain accurate job notes, inventory lists, and condition reports
- Train and mentor crew members
- Work closely with the Operations Manager on scheduling, logistics, and performance
- Work with the company bookkeeper on invoicing
- Learn and assist with estimating, walk-throughs, and crew planning
Qualifications
- Prior experience in moving, logistics, or similar field leadership role is a must
- Ability to lead a team and manage job sites
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Experience driving box trucks (16–26 ft preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and problem-solve under pressure
- Physically capable of lifting 25–75 lbs regularly
- Professional appearance and attitude
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with move estimating or in-home walk-throughs
- Experience in logistics coordination or dispatching
