Enterprise Portfolio & Value Manager (Lean Portfolio Management)Position SummarySeeking an Enterprise Portfolio & Value Manager to facilitate and strengthen Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) across strategic enterprise portfolios. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative Agile leader responsible for implementing and overseeing a portfolio of initiatives, including lean governance, funding, and portfolio operations. This role requires experience managing portfolios, driving Agile enterprise transformation, and partnering with executive stakeholders to maximize business value delivery.
Responsibilities- Understand and analyze portfolio needs to develop and implement portfolio maturity plans.
- Oversee governance frameworks for investment intake, prioritization, and decision-making to maximize value delivery.
- Manage portfolio Kanban processes and ensure stop/pivot/persevere governance decisions are made to optimize outcomes.
- Provide active portfolio management oversight for budget, scope, timelines, and execution.
- Monitor Lean Budgeting guardrails and governance practices for strategic investments.
- Ensure portfolio roadmaps are developed, maintained, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Oversee portfolio reporting, including metrics, objectives, key results (OKRs), and value-based performance indicators.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and portfolio prioritization.
- Serve as an Agile Coach to identify gaps in Lean Portfolio Management practices and implement continuous improvements.
- Coordinate portfolio adjustments when changing business priorities require shifts in scope, funding, or delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic initiative owners regarding dependencies, risks, and cross-functional coordination.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Prior consulting experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Lean Portfolio Management (LPM).
- Strong understanding of project management best practices, including change management, risk management, dependency management, executive reporting, and project governance.
- Advanced ability to track and monitor initiatives, programs, and projects; identify gaps; recommend improvements; and communicate progress to leadership.
- Significant experience managing multiple priorities independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Extensive experience working with executive leadership, management teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Strong consultative, facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to both virtual and in-person audiences.
- Advanced critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, and strategic leadership skills.
- Experience launching value streams and implementing enterprise-scale Lean Portfolio Management practices.
