What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Line Operator position at Smitty's Supply, Inc.?
Position Summary: The Packaging Line Operator position is responsible for operating filling and associated equipment on the drum, pail, quart and 5-quart packaging lines. This position reports to the Packaging Production Manager. In addition to operation of equipment, the operator will need to be proficient at operating a fork lift. Maintaining housekeeping in the work area is a necessity.
Position Responsibilities
· Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
· Use all designated PPE
· Measure and report production quantities
· Ensure proper and efficient operation of equipment
· Ensure there are no spills
· Meet all training requirements
· Complete all necessary paperwork associated with inventory and transfers
· Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
· Must be flexible when asked to reprioritize work/tasks
· Able to use calculator and complete production reports
· Able to operate fork lift
· Able to lift 50 lbs
· Able to complete paperwork
· Able to work overtime as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
