About us
Smitty’s Lawn and Landscaping is a small business in Myerstown, PA. Our goal is to look for an experienced and knowledgeable landscape supervisor to oversee our crews and manage tasks efficiently. We expect to see more than 3 years of experience in a landscaping leadership role. This position is full time during the spring, summer and fall seasons along with on-call work during the winters plus shop work. .
```Duties```
- Supervise and lead a team of landscape workers in performing various tasks related to landscape maintenance, lawn care, and groundskeeping.
- Plan and prioritize daily work assignments for the team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Oversee the installation of new landscapes, including planting trees and shrubs.
- Maintain existing landscapes by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, pruning trees, and performing regular maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that all work is performed to high quality standards and in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, and coordinate with management to ensure availability as needed.
```Requirements```
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance and groundskeeping, with a strong knowledge of plant care and horticultural practices.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Proficient in operating landscape equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and management.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Able to work with a team or individually.
- Can pass a drug test on a random basis.
- Tobacco free

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
