Associate Veterinarian

Full time preferred, part time possible for Smithtown Animal Hospital on the beautiful north shore of western Suffolk County, Long Island ,NY. For over 33 years Smithtown Animal Hospital has been a trusted part of the community, creating the kind of lasting relationships that make veterinary medicine rewarding. Most of our clientele are made up of generations of families. Our practice is equipped with the tools to practice modern canine and feline medicine and surgery. We are suppoted by an experienced team and clients who trust our recommendations. This position is ideal for an experienced veterinarian that is ready to step away from corporate practice, and join a privately owned practice where quality care, professional ideals and community connections matter. For the right candidate there is a pathway to practice ownership within 5 years, including real estate. The property is a one acre piece of land along a medical corridor on Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown. Whether you are looking for a longterm practice or an opportunity to own in the future, this position offers room to grow. Salary $150K-$180K depending on experience and schedule. Three weeks paid time off, $2500 paid CE allowance SEP IRA and medical insurance offered. We are also a Thyrocat feline hyperthyroidism treatment center. Current associate of 20 years retiring from here and private practice August 2026.
