STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for an Extruder Operator to join the team.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reads manufacturing methods, blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures and feed rates.
- Selects, positions, and adjusts machine to proper specifications called out in manufacturing method.
- Verifies silicon rubber is properly stored prior to use.
- Moves controls to position take up reel, extruder, and collection reel. Controls feed rate, speed, and machine rate.
- Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined workpiece to specifications.
- Sets up and operates machines and equipment other than machine tools such as inspection machines and cooling equipment.
- Performs quality inspection on finished product.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Qualifications
Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
