Duties
- Lead and supervise carpentry crews on various construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, roofing, siding, stucco, and other finishing tasks
- Oversee metal building erection, metal stud framing, rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete finishing processes with precision
- Manage construction plans and schematics to coordinate tasks such as masonry work, plastering, restoration projects, and remodeling efforts
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship in woodworking and drywall installation
- Ensure proper use of hand tools like tape measures for dimensional measurements and carpentry tasks requiring accuracy
- Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines while maintaining quality control throughout all phases of construction
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in carpentry disciplines including framing, trim work, roofing, siding, drywall, stucco, and masonry
- Demonstrated expertise in interpreting technical drawings such as blueprints and schematics; familiarity with construction plans is essential
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in framing, drywall installation, roofing, welding, plastering, and other trade-specific tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while managing multiple responsibilities on active job sites
- Knowledge of metal building erection techniques and metal stud framing; experience with concrete forming and rebar installation is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols along with experience operating heavy equipment when necessary
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; familiarity with dimensional measurements is required
- Excellent leadership skills to guide teams effectively while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship in all aspects of construction work
- Valid experience working on diverse construction sites; ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings confidently
