Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Server. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. Duties:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Take food and drink orders accurately
- Enter orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system (Square)
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure tables are clean and prepped before seating guests
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Answer guest inquiries and provide recommendations on menu items
- Process guest payments accurately
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, such as Square, is a plus
- Ability to handle food safely (food handler's permit required)
- Strong sales skills to upsell menu items a big plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a team player and willing to help out in various areas of the restaurant as needed
- Exceptional customer service skills
