Your Opportunity

This position is responsible for properly operating Slicer and Bacon Press and keeping the line supplied with product.

Core Responsibilities

• Inspects bellies.
• Examines bellies for broken comb ends, bone chips, hair roots and foreign materials.
• Loads bellies shoulder first, end to end on Slicer, as directed by leadership.
• Starts and stops Slicer as necessary.
• Cleans out Slicer when malfunctioning.
• Replaces paper rolls on spindle when used up.
• Threads paper into feed mechanism properly.
• Cleans area and machine as prescribed by leadership.
• Notifies Line Service Person, if low on pressed belly supply.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

• The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
