Shop Lot Supervisor
About the Role
SmitHahn is seeking a reliable and organized Shop Lot Supervisor to oversee our fleet, equipment, tools, deliveries, and basic building maintenance. This role supports our shop and field crews by keeping vehicles, equipment, and supplies ready to go every day.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Vehicle Maintenance
- Coordinate inspections and routine vehicle maintenance with outside vendors.
- Track vehicle inspection dates, assist with registrations and insurance cards.
Equipment & Tool Maintenance
- Maintain welding machines, forklifts, skid steers, high-reaches, and shop cranes.
- Track, inventory and repair power tools, torches, and other truck equipment.
Deliveries & Material Handling
- Deliver finished work to customers.
- Material and equipment flow support for shop and field operations.
Building & Property Maintenance
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs.
- Keep shop areas, bays, cages, and buildings clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude (vehicles, equipment, tools)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift/move materials and operate equipment safely
- Experience in fabrication or industrial environments is a plus
Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
