Smith Service Center is a family-owned, five-generation automotive repair shop that has proudly served Evansville since 1923. We're searching for a dependable, hardworking Shop Porter / Cleanup Specialist to help keep our facility clean, organized, and operating at its best.
This position is perfect for a retiree, someone wanting to stay active, or anyone looking for approximately 20–30 hours per week in a friendly, drama-free environment.
What You'll Do
- Keep the shop, customer areas, and restrooms clean and organized
- Sweep and mop floors
- Empty trash and recycling
- Stock and maintain supplies
- Organize tools, equipment, and storage areas
- Help maintain the parking lot and outside appearance
- Move customer vehicles around the property when needed
- Assist technicians and service advisors with light duties
- Help ensure our shop looks professional every day
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- Dependable and punctual
- Self-motivated and takes pride in their work
- Friendly and enjoys being part of a team
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stay active throughout the day
- Has a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Automotive experience is not required—we're happy to train the right person.
