- Conduct detailed floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a high standard of flooring appearance.
- Clean carpets thoroughly using appropriate methods like vacuuming and carpet extraction to remove dirt and stains.
- Ensure all janitorial supplies are stocked and properly stored, notifying management when supplies need replenishing.
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning processes to prevent accidents or damage to property.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and other common areas consistently throughout shifts.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure swift resolution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services within commercial or environmental services settings.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to various flooring types including tile, vinyl, carpet, and hardwood.
- Ability to operate floor care equipment such as buffers, polishers, extractors, and vacuum cleaners effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality in every task performed.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
