Job Summary
For more than 60 years, we have been a leading engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to producing high-quality, state of the art aquatic conservation electronics and equipment for the fisheries industry.
We have a current opening for a well-organized Parts Clerk / Inventory Control Assistant, working with our diverse materials inventory. This is an entry-level position - Prior experience is preferred but not required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for picking parts and components (“kitting”) in accordance with job order requirements
- Verify accuracy of incoming shipments
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and report discrepancies accordingly
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory organization as directed
- Accurately log the physical movement of materials in our production management system/ERP
- Assist with the cleanliness and organization of the stockroom
Preferred skillset:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk, Parts Clerk, or similar role. *Preference will be given to candidates with SMT and THT parts-handling experience. **Special consideration will be given to candidates with either basic accounting-clerk experience, or prior high-volume shipping and receiving experience
- Familiarity with inventory management systems/ERP.
- Strong attention to detail
- Intuitive organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. The ability to seamlessly collaborate with other departments to fulfill inventory needs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Methodical workstyle: Ability to consistently apply procedural instruction
- Able to independently prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent work attendance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook. *Basic Excel knowledge is helpful
Physical Requirements:
· Frequent standing, bending, reaching, stooping
· Regular use of step ladders
· Infrequent lifting of up to 50lbs.
· Occasional use of pallet jacks
Work Schedule/Pay Rate:
· 4-day work week, Monday – Thursday, Day shift
· $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience
· 60-day probationary period
