Armed Security Officer
SMITH PROTECTIVE SERVICES, INC. is seeking highly motivated, vigilant, and dedicated security officers who have a Commissioned Security License through the Texas Private Security Bureau for positions throughout the Austin Metropolitan area.
APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligible to work in the United States of America.
- Have a valid Texas driver’s license.
- Have a valid Commissioned Security License.
- Must be 25 years of age or older.
- Must have no moving violations in the last three years.
- Must have a working telephone.
- Must have approved firearm and duty gear at the time of hire.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Be willing to submit to a physical and drug screen.
- Agree to an in-depth background check including but not limited to criminal history, work performance, and character references.
THE MAJOR DUTIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- Provide safety and security at all client sites.
- Patrol and perform overwatches for active threats.
- Inspect and check to ensure doors and gates are secured and continuously locked.
- Respond to and investigate calls from clients concerning security risks.
- Prepare detailed incident reporting of factual information.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Exhibit punctuality and dependability in performing required duty assignments.
- Adhere to professional ethical standards in relationship with staff and clients.
