We are seeking a dependable and efficient Order Picker. Must be organized, detail oriented and comfortable working independently. *MUST BE ABLE TO CARRY 50 POUNDS*
An Order Picker is responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse racks or storage areas and packaging for delivery. Their duties include operating forklifts, updating inventory counts and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill orders. Basic math skills required (addition/subtraction/multiplication). Monday-Friday schedule with Thursday and Friday being half days, 40 hour week. Competitive pay based on experience. Great benefits.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Picking out ordered items from storage areas or racks
- Securely stacking items and preparing for shrink-wrapping
- Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
- Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved
- Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
- Performing general warehouse duties as necessary
- Make safety a priority at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Alert and focused.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- Ability to lift 50lbs at a time.
- Able to operate electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
- Self starter who works well independently.
- Disciplined, dependable and resourceful.
- High level of composure and good stress management.
