Plant Maintenance (First Shift)

The Plant Maintenance position will maintain, and repair factory equipment associated with the manufacturing and testing departments.   To include but not limited to the following repairs:  mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic. For the facility, repair and maintain lighting, plumbing air & water, overhead doors and minor electrical conduit runs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Order components through suppliers and maintain in-house inventory records to avoid prolonged downtime on critical equipment.
• Assist in upgrades and additional modifications to test facilities.
• Work in conjunction with outside contractors to maintain equipment and facility.
• Be an active participant in the Preventive Maintenance Programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Monthly inspection of tanks’ peripheral equipment for leaks.
• Manage and work assignments through Maintenance CMMS system
• Work independently and with others as needed

 REQUIREMENTS – Qualified Bids:  

• 5 years’ experience or training.in the following areas:  electronics, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing with an understanding of basic relay logic and PLC’s.
• Have the ability to read, identify, and comprehend data on electrical, hydraulic and mechanical drawings.
• Basic PC experience including Office, Excel and Word 

 REQUIREMENTS – Training Bids:  

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in machine maintenance repairs.
• Have the ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical drawings.
• Trade school programs will be reviewed as presented by each individual as a possible substitution for 2 years’ experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Spends 95% of the time in a manufacturing/shop environment and 5% in an office environment. Will be exposed to possible hazards including working with high-pressure equipment, working in confined spaces, high noise, inclement weather, chemicals, pressure testing, heavy lift operations and shop/field traffic. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing upward, crawling in confined workspaces and lifting daily.
