Smith Law Firm is a client-focused, service-driven law firm dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive estate planning solutions. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys in delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and related documents
- Assist with trust funding, asset inventories, and document organization
- Maintain and update client files and case management systems
- Communicate professionally with clients, financial advisors, and other third parties
- Coordinate signing appointments and ensure proper execution of documents
- Conduct research related to estate planning and probate matters
- Support attorneys with administrative tasks and project management related to estate planning
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with firm procedures and applicable laws
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of estate planning paralegal experience (preferred)
- Strong understanding of estate planning terminology, documents, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with legal case management software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, client-centered demeanor
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience (preferred)
