Manufacturer's Sales Representative

Smith Industrial Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time Territory Field Sales Representative for Erie PA, and the Central and Western regions of New York. Our markets include Industrial Manufacturing, Industrial Distribution, Primary Metals, Steel, Automation, Power Generation, Bulk Material Handling, MRO, OEM, Aggregate and the Distribution Network that supports these markets. The job entails identifying and prospecting new customers, building and maintaining relationships with current customers, conducting product demonstrations, presenting proposals, field sales and inspections and closing sales. This is a hybrid role and will require some overnight travel. The ideal candidate would be based within the Erie, PA area.

Qualifications

• Sales, Marketing, or Business Development experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus
• Prefer a background in mechanical power transmissions and fluid power
