We’re partnering with a rapidly growing insurance organization seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to join their dynamic Valuation team.
This is a high-impact role offering exposure to a broad range of actuarial responsibilities, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to contribute to key financial and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Lead the determination, review, and analysis of quarterly STAT, GAAP, DAC, VOBA, and tax reserves
Support financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance
Perform cash flow testing and asset adequacy analysis
Analyze financial results and experience trends; recommend assumption updates
Partner with accounting, investments, IT, and operations teams
Drive process improvements and support system/model conversions
Maintain and document valuation models and actuarial assumptions
Mentor and potentially manage junior actuarial staff
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Stats, or Economics
6 years of US STAT or GAAP reserving & financial reporting experience
Experience with AXIS strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of life insurance products (WL, Term, UL, annuities, LTC)
ASA required; near-FSA preferred
MAAA (or pursuing)
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
